Rebox
Closing the loop on e-commerce waste through smart, circular packaging.
The Challenge
As e-commerce continues to grow, so does the environmental impact of single-use cardboard and plastic packaging. ReBox was designed to create a circular economy by replacing traditional boxes with smart, reusable packaging. The challenge was to design a mobile experience that makes returning and tracking these boxes as effortless as the initial purchase.
User Research and Insights

I focused on Marcus, an environmentally conscious professional who values sustainability but is often deterred by "green" processes that are time-consuming or inconvenient.
PROBLEM
Users are willing to participate in circular systems only if the tracking is transparent and the return process requires zero extra effort.
OPPORTUNITY
Leverage real-time GPS and smart-lock technology to give users total control over their deliveries and returns, making sustainability seamless.
Iterative Design Process
I moved from Task Analysis to Wireframing, focusing on a three-pillar user flow:
Discovery
AI-powered facial scanning.
Personalization
Recommended products based on scan results.
Retention
Loyalty dashboard that rewards consistent skincare habits.
Refinement
During the wireframe phase, I prioritized the "Scan" interface, refining the user flow to include clearer instructional overlays. By simplifying the UI and adding real-time positioning cues, I ensured users could capture accurate data on the first try, reducing friction at a critical entry point.


Testing and Validation
I conducted usability testing on the low-fidelity prototype to identify friction points then improved and tested the high-fidelity prototype. Key Task: Complete the AI face scan and view personalized recommendations.
